A Million Jello Shots...

(Actually it was exactly 100!)

I made these little gems for the houseboat trip we went on last weekend on Norris Lake here in TN. These were a HUGE hit among our 10 friends that joined us! They were so perfect and refreshing for just chilling on the lake :)

No real recipe here... just make jello as normal except when you're adding the cold water, substitute about 1/2 of the cold water for vodka. Pour into shot glasses or little plastic containers before refrigerating. (Make sure boiled water w/ gelatin mix is at room temp before adding the alcohol!)

I made 3 different flavors, all made with Smirnoff Vanilla Vodka:

1. Orange (tasted like a creamsicle)
2. Pina Colada (definitely the crowd favorite)
3. Raspberry (just as delicious as the other two)

Bonizio Sangiovese

If you like Sangiovese, you have to try this! We had it at an italian restaurant in our hometown and couldn't find it anywhere in the MI stores... but luckily the wine store by my work down here in TN carries it! Yum, this is one of our favorites.

Pear Grapefruit Martini ♥♥

Martinis are pretty much my favorite. I bought some Absolut Pears the other day and decided to try it out tonight!

Ingredients

* 1 oz Absolut Pears vodka
* 1.5 oz grapefruit juice
* Slice of lime

Directions

1. Add vodka and grapefruit juice into martini shaker. Shake.
2. Pour into martini glass and garnish with lime. Squeeze the juice in if you'd like. Or if you're like me, just put the whole damn lime in! :)

Starbucks = Love ♥♥♥

I just had to share with everyone the greatest (hot) drink ever invented. A Starbucks venti non-fat 8-pump chai latte, no water. This baby always gets me through the day! mmm

PS ~ Aren't their holiday cups the best? Love them!

Frappe Vino

My dad and I went to the Sugar Loaf Art Fair in Novi, MI a few weeks ago and I ended up finding this hidden gem: frozen wine! It's a powdery mix that you add wine and water to, stick in the freezer for a few hours, and viola, you have a delicious frozen, slushy wine. The art fair was giving out free samples and they had me at my first sip :) Check them out: D'Marie Frappe Vino

Chai = Love

I know this isn't really a recipe, but you must know that I am in love with chai. I get a venti, nonfat, 8-pump, iced chai latte w/ light ice from Starbucks on my way to work every morning. On the weekends when I'm not driving past SBux, I use the store bought Tazo Chai mix.

* Fill glass 1/2 way with chai concentrate
* Mix in 2% milk
* Add less or more milk depending on how strong you like your chai
* Drink... ENJOY!!
